Sector trends across construction, aerospace, marine and green energy

Construction work continues to weight toward refurbishment and retrofit. Lifecycle and weathertightness keep moving up the brief, and structural reinforcement with composite materials is becoming a normal answer rather than a specialist one.

Aerospace programmes are running steadier than they have in a while. Composite primary structure work is on a healthy footing, with secondary structure and interior work pulling alongside. Material qualification timelines remain the constraint that shapes most programme plans.

Marine new-build is in its build season, with steady polyester and epoxy demand and the usual seasonal tightening of gelcoat and topcoat lead times. Refit and repair work continues alongside, especially on laminate, gelcoat and core repairs.

Green energy is the broadest mix. Wind blade and substructure work pulls on infusion resin systems and glass and carbon fibre at scale. Solar substructure work continues to scale. The sustainability conversation runs through all of it, with embodied carbon and lifecycle data increasingly inside the tender pack.
