3 mm E-glass chopped strands with a silane sizing for unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester systems, engineered for BMC and premix moulding where strand integrity and impact performance matter.

Chopped strands engineered specifically for BMC (bulk moulding compound) and premix thermosetting composite systems. Manufactured from short 3 mm E-glass fibres and coated with a silane-based sizing compatible with unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins, they wet out reliably and disperse consistently throughout the mix.
The sizing formulation gives strong strand integrity, clean processing, and high mechanical and impact performance in the finished part. Mixed directly into resin, the strands form a tough, dough-like reinforcement compound that markedly improves strength, durability, and resistance to cracking and impact in moulds and composite components. This makes them well-suited to industrial BMC production as well as to demanding mould-making and reinforcement work.
For best results, mix the catalyst thoroughly into the resin and avoid building up excessively thick sections, as heavy build-ups can generate an exotherm and a rapid temperature rise during cure.
