Technical overview
gRoof 500 Protection Fleece is a mechanically reinforced protection and storage layer designed for installation above waterproofing membranes within green roof systems. It offers greater durability than lighter fleeces, making it suitable for applications that require enhanced mechanical protection and greater water retention.
Installed directly above the waterproofing membrane, gRoof 500 helps prevent abrasion and installation damage while functioning as an effective separation layer between incompatible materials such as PVC and bitumen.
With a water storage capacity of approximately 3.5 litres per square metre, it helps retain moisture in extensive, semi-intensive, and intensive green roof assemblies. The fleece meets the requirements of recognised roof greening standards and is part of tested green roof system configurations.
