Biax 625 is a ±90° high-strength E-glass fabric with orthogonal fibre layers, providing balanced tensile strength in both the warp and weft directions. Non-crimp-stitched construction compatible with Epoxy, Vinylester, and Polyester Resin systems, ideal for structural laminates, panels, and load-bearing composite components.

Allbase Biax glass cloth is a composite reinforcement fabric made of two layers of continuous E-glass fibres stitched at ±90° angles. The orthogonal structure offers balanced strength in both the longitudinal and transverse directions, making it especially suitable for applications subjected to tensile loads in both directions across a laminate.
The ±0°/90° fibre orientation provides the fabric with balanced mechanical performance in both the length and width directions. Longitudinal layers at 0° offer high tensile strength in the direction of the weave, while transverse layers at 90° contribute strength across the cross-section. This balanced reinforcement structure helps composite laminates withstand multi-directional loads more evenly than single-direction or random mat reinforcements.
Because the fibres are arranged in straight, non-crimp layers and lightly stitched rather than woven, the fabric retains good permeability and wet-out characteristics with common resin systems, including Vinylester, Epoxy and Polyester. The lack of heavy interlacing also makes the cloth easier to handle and conform to simple contours during lay-up.
Compatible with various laminating techniques, this cloth is ideal for structural work, panel construction, boat components, sporting goods, and other composite parts that require balanced in-plane strength and stiffness.
