Technical overview

The GS2 features a remote probe design that separates the sensing point from the main unit. This configuration allows water conditions to be monitored at the lowest point of the gutter or drainage channel, while the main device is mounted elsewhere on the roof.
Designed for long-term outdoor use, the unit operates autonomously, with integrated solar power, and transmits live status data over a secure narrowband network. This allows property managers and facilities teams to monitor gutter performance without relying on routine visual inspections.

How it works
The GS2 sensor employs a remote water detection probe installed at the lowest point of the gutter or drainage channel, where standing water would initially form. The probe continuously detects the presence of water and communicates with the main unit via the connecting cable.
When water stays in the gutter beyond the usual drainage period after rainfall, the system detects this as stagnant water and sends an alert via narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) connectivity.
An integrated rainfall reference enables the system to distinguish between normal rainfall and abnormal water retention, enhancing accuracy and reducing false alarms. All data is transmitted securely to a web-based monitoring portal, where building managers, contractors, or maintenance teams can view gutter status in real time and receive alerts when intervention is needed.
