A solar-powered, maintenance-free sensor designed to detect stagnant water in internal and valley gutters and trigger alerts before blockages cause leaks or damage. Using a remote probe on a cable, the GS2 allows the main unit to be mounted away from standing water while still providing accurate detection at critical drainage points.

Blocked or slow-draining gutters are among the most common causes of water ingress on commercial and industrial roofs. The GS2 gutter monitoring sensor offers continuous, remote detection of standing water, alerting maintenance teams to developing issues before overflow, saturation, or structural damage occurs.
The GS2 features a remote probe design that separates the sensing point from the main unit. This configuration allows water conditions to be monitored at the lowest point of the gutter or drainage channel, while the main device is mounted elsewhere on the roof.
Designed for long-term outdoor use, the unit operates autonomously, with integrated solar power, and transmits live status data over a secure narrowband network. This allows property managers and facilities teams to monitor gutter performance without relying on routine visual inspections.
By identifying stagnant water caused by debris build-up, restricted outlets, ice formation, or gradual flow reduction, the GS2 helps address issues early, reducing the risk of internal leaks, façade staining, and unplanned reactive maintenance.
Specified across sectors where this material fits the application.
A cabled sensor probe enables detection of stagnant water at the lowest point of the gutter or drainage channel, even when the main unit is installed elsewhere.
The separation of the probe and main unit allows installation where the sensor body cannot be placed directly in standing water, enhancing compatibility across various roof designs.
Identifies standing water before it overflows or causes damage.
Solar powered with no wiring or routine servicing required.
24/7 oversight of gutters and drainage systems.
Retrofit design with a universal mounting solution.
Automatic notifications when stagnant water is detected.
Reduces the need for routine manual gutter checks.
The GS2 sensor employs a remote water detection probe installed at the lowest point of the gutter or drainage channel, where standing water would initially form. The probe continuously detects the presence of water and communicates with the main unit via the connecting cable.
When water stays in the gutter beyond the usual drainage period after rainfall, the system detects this as stagnant water and sends an alert via narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) connectivity.
An integrated rainfall reference enables the system to distinguish between normal rainfall and abnormal water retention, enhancing accuracy and reducing false alarms. All data is transmitted securely to a web-based monitoring portal, where building managers, contractors, or maintenance teams can view gutter status in real time and receive alerts when intervention is needed.
