What does Basecare cover?
Basecare guarantees the Allbase system used on your project. Standard cover protects the materials; Installation cover adds a workmanship guarantee from an approved contractor. The guarantee applies to defects in the Allbase system or, on Installation cover, the installation itself.
How long does Basecare protection last?
Materials are guaranteed for up to 25 years, depending on the system and how it is installed. Installation cover adds a 10-year workmanship guarantee on top.
What does the Standard plan include?
Standard cover guarantees the Allbase system against defect. In the event of a claim, Allbase supplies replacement materials. It also includes the shared benefits: instant cover, a free maintenance schedule, transferable cover, online management and dedicated support.
Does Basecare require an approved contractor?
Only Installation cover requires an Allbase Approved Contractor, because it guarantees the workmanship. Standard cover is available to both DIY and professional installers.
Can Basecare cover be transferred?
Yes. If you sell your property, cover can be transferred to the new owner, and the paperwork is reissued in their name.
Is Basecare suitable for commercial projects?
Yes. Basecare covers both domestic and commercial projects, from small DIY jobs to large industrial sites.
What happens if an issue arises?
Claims can be made online at basecare.co.uk, over the phone or by post, within 14 days of the fault arising. Our claims team will guide you through the process.
Is Basecare available nationwide?
Yes. Basecare cover and our approved-contractor network operate across the UK.
